It's the day after the Super Bowl, and as usual, people are talking about the entertainment as much the game.
Once again, not much of it is good. Christina Aguilera poured all of her heart into the National Anthem, but lost her head there for a second and botched the freakin' words. Piled on to her flop album and movie, she might be having as bad a Super Bowl hangover as Ben Roethlisberger.
The Black Eyed Peas remembered the words, but lost something in translation. The problem with them for the SB halftime is that it should have been last year. They came out with a medley of songs people loved ... in 2009-10. Unfortunately, the songs were overplayed and so overexposed, now they seem stale. So much for being so 3008. BEP is also riding a new album that people aren't digging.
They could have overcome those problems by kicking a-- on the performance, but the glowsticks, the sci-fi costumes, Slash and Usher weren't enough to distract us from the thin and screeching vocals.
It seems like the NFL can't win with the halftime show. They get classic rockers and people say they're too old. They get younger ones and people say they're no substance.
It might be time to suck it up and get AC/DC on the line.

Why not a Baptist choir or something more local to the city in which the game is being played? What a great opportunity it would be for an unknown singer or band..
