A company called Sterling has released the first pheromone trap I've seen for stink bugs.
For all of us who have been plagued with an infestation, this is good news. It's an especially important tool for farmers who haven't been able to find anything to deal with these invasive insects.

It won't be available until July, but it's pretty interesting. I wonder if it could be used inside after the hard freeze to lure them into the trap.
From the company's blog-Stink Bug Trap was conducted at the USDA's 800-acre facility in Beltsville, MD. Sterling designed both the trap and the controlled-release technology for the pheromone.
Check back here as I discover more information about this new product.

I've been flipping out over stinkbugs, they are still in my house even though I keep my thermostat low.
In one way I've been dreading the spring because I am sure they will only get worse.
Any further intelligence to offer about their habits, and where and why they might be lurking?
Thanks
