Welcome to A Fine Point, a blog where you can comment on the issues of the day expressed in the Post-Gazette’s editorials. Do you have something to say about a national topic, don’t like something that’s happening in Pennsylvania or want to speak your mind about a Pittsburgh subject? Your chance to make a fine point not only to your neighbors but also to those who write the Post-Gazette’s official editorial viewpoints -- Tom Waseleski, Reg Henry, Susan Mannella, Tony Norman and Dan Simpson -- is here. Jump in early and often. The conversation is fine. |
The Post-Gazette soon will be introducing a new, improved website that is more visually appealing and easier to navigate. The new home for news, sports, business and opinion will allow readers to comment on most Post-Gazette articles.
A consequence of this switch means that the opinion page's blogs, Open Letters and A Fine Point, will be obsolete and unnecessary, because they were created solely for the purpose of allowing commentary by readers on our daily editorials and letters to the editor.
When the new website is launched, readers will be able to comment directly through the Post-Gazette's main website. All comments must be made using Facebook accounts, rather than the logins created for our blogs. If you don't already have a Facebook account, don't worry. Registering for a Facebook account is simple and free, explained in an easy-to-follow format at www.facebook.com.
As we say goodbye to our Open Letters and A Fine Point blogs, we'd like to thank our regular readers for their active participation over the last few years. And we hope you'll say hello to our new site and join the conversation by using your Facebook account.
