Whoever wrote the editorial suggesting that more people should use the Delta flight to Paris ("Use It or Lose It," March 16) either has not used the flight themselves or is a glutton for punishment. The fact that a supposedly commercial flight created to make a profit has to be subsidized should be the first indication of a problem.
The second clue is that the load factor (number of sold seats) has diminished since the flight started. I suspect that this is due to people initially taking the flight and, after landing in Paris, saying "never again." There is nothing convenient or even remotely friendly about Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris.
Why should anyone continue to throw money at a flight that no one wants? Use it or lose it? Please, lose it!
