While I am patiently waiting for a bus that may or may not come, I sit here and ask myself who cares that Gary Guy Mathews wants to change his name to "Boomer the Dog" ("Every Dog Has His Day," Aug. 11). Is this really what the newspapers think the people who are still reading the paper will find interesting? I think not.
What is really on our minds is what the drink tax is really being used for, where are the tax dollars from the casinos and what are they being used for or will there be public transportation and how many more jobs will be lost without public transit?
