Goodwin Liu has an impressive record as an editor of the Yale Law Journal, clerk to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg and clerk to Judge David Tatel on the D.C. Circuit Court. An exceptional professor, attorney and legal scholar, Mr. Liu has consistently demonstrated his commitment to constitutional principles by speaking out for the individual legal protections that define our nation. He has garnered support from across the political spectrum and is eminently qualified to sit on one of the nation's most important courts of appeals.
Mr. Liu's rejection on partisan grounds is unwarranted and evidence of deep hypocrisy. Some of the senators who filibustered this extraordinary nominee were the very ones who, in the past, decried the use of the filibuster to block confirmation of judicial nominees. Preventing a floor vote on Goodwin Liu's nomination is just the final step in a long and shameful series of delays. First put forward by President Barack Obama in February 2010, he has been renominated twice thereafter.
As a coalition of diverse organizations that promotes the confirmation of federal district, circuit and Supreme Court judges committed to core constitutional freedoms and individual and civil rights, PCCV is confident Goodwin Liu would have made an exemplary judge.

Very hard to see how Liu would have made an "exemplary judge" (well, maybe if you're a left wing partisan) when he has *never* sat on the bench.
