Budding Post-Gazette ace sports reporter Michael Sanserino gives an enthusiastic one-for-the-thumb to the new Turkey Hill Blitzburgh Crunch, reflective of the general sentiment among the sports department.
A few quarts of the product were sent to our office today by the p.r. flacks for the company in search of some cheap publicity. Well, it worked. The staff found it to be a pretty good cookies & cream-ish ice cream. Nice and rich.
Then again, this is an endorsement from sports reporters who would eat anything -- any. thing. -- if it were free. So take it for what it's worth.
And the name could use a tweak -- Blitzburgh has never been a terribly accurate term, as true blitzes are rarely employed in the Steelers' schemes, but admittedly Turkey Hill 3-4 Zone Blitz Crunch is slightly less catchy.
