" ... and be thought a fool, than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."
The quote is often attributed to Abraham Lincoln, Mark Twain and George Eliot, but regardless of the source, tonight the man on the left should listen to it. Not that he ever has before ...

Noted narcissists, Twitter bards (if such a thing is possible), and wearers of silly hats, Terrell Owens and Chad Восемьдесят пять (above) take to the airwaves at 11 p.m. tonight on the Versus Network for a segment on The Daily Line called the "T. Ocho show."
We were sent some preview clips, one that included studio host Reese Waters asking this pair of ethics scholars about the Steelers' handling of Ben Roethlisberger's and Santonio Holmes' respective offseason malfeasances (something happened with them in the offseason?? REALLY??).
Waters asks the duo a loaded question on the subject -- was race a factor? in keeping Roethlisberger and jettisoning Holmes -- and Owens naturally takes the bait."The proof is in the pudding," he says. What a beaut.
Yes, T.O., you're right. Clearly the Rooneys took action on these situations along racial lines. Because it makes such sense. I mean, look at their track record: they helped create the Rooney rule; they employ an African-American head coach; they ardently supported President Obama's election, so much so, that Dan Rooney now serves under the man as the United States Ambassador to Ireland.
Rabid racists, those Rooneys.
To his credit, Ochocinco backs off it a little and (probably correctly) speculates that the keep-or-cut decision-making in these types of situation is relative to the importance of each player to the team (in this case, the Steelers).
Left unsaid is that Holmes was in a contract year, probably would not have been re-signed because he became somewhat expendable with the emergence of Mike Wallace; and that Roethlisberger should probably thank his lucky stars that he isn't slingin' pigskins somewhere else because the Steelers -- who were livid with him -- are essentially married to the man, financially, contractually and salary cap-cially. They couldn't give him away, even if they wanted to.
Do not mistake this post as any sort of a defense of Roethlisberger or his alleged behavior. Rather it's an indictment of Owens' typical hot air, not that it is anything new.
