Have been getting flooded with a bunch of e-mails from people in response to a blog item at Cincinnati.com (which is, essentially, the Cincinnati Enquirer).

Seems the Cintas Center recently went through some improvements (like they need it, come on, the place is perfect) and there is a passage in the blog item reading, "...the old scoreboard may go to Duquesne."

The scoreboard in question will not be recycled in the form of being shipped from one A10 school in Cincinnati to another in Pittsburgh.

As the Palumbo Center is also going through a facelift, an upgrade to the scoreboard is something that is part of the plan. With that said, purchasing Xavier's old scoreboard was an option looked into, but the option settled upon by Duquesne administrative folks was a brand new Daktronics model that will be ready to go, fastened safely to the ceiling of the Palumbo, for this coming season.
