Andrew Nicholson got into foul trouble early and was held to 11 points in 24 minutes that game. Expect him to look like the guy garnering NBA prospect talk up in Olean, N.Y.

St. Bonaventure is 5-3 in the A-10, 12-8 overall and the first team behind that logjam of five tied for first with a 6-3 record.

“The conference race is coming down the stretch and he’s a kid with aspirations,” said Coach Ron Everhart. “He’s just so versatile.”

Nothing new, but Everhart said he expects his team will have to contend with another size disadvantage in the game.

“We’ll have our work cut out for us,” he said.

This week Everhart said he’ll be spending a little more time on last minute situations during practice.

They’ll put a minute or x-amount of seconds on the clock and run different plays with the expectation that every game could go to the wire here as the A-10 race comes to a head.

P.J.'s real first name is Jose - the one on important documents - and P.J. is a nickname given to him by his aunt who thought he looked like an uncle named P.J.

She crooned when he was just a little kid “You look like a little Uncle P.J.” and it stuck.
