While I hate to use the words "Good News" to describe an injury, 2-4 weeks is a lot better than 2-4 months.

I know it is early in the season, but this team is pretty much playing like last years team toward the end. Very little scoring from the wingers, Malkin not scoring, turnovers, no PP goals and just bad defense. Same broken record.

The worst thing is they are against the cap and can't really do much about anything. They don't have any players worth trading that would create enough cap space to get a quality player in return, except maybe Letang ($3.5M). Gol's doesn't make enough, Dupius is worthless ($1.4M) and we probably couldn't even get a 4th rounder. But his cap space won't be enough unless they do more moves and right now the big problem is Kunitz and his $3.75M cap hit. He had a goal last night, but we need more 5-5

MAF has been garbage for a year now what the heck. he has mad skills so it has to be mental with him, maybe the Pens should get him a psychologist or something. It worked with John Smoltz maybe MAF will benefit from it.

So what's the deal with Comrie? Is he already in the doghouse, or was him sitting out the Leafs game strictly a one-shot motivational tool?

I heard Comrie was hurt, but I hate to criticize Blysma but it seems that he needs to stop playing favorites and play the players who are going to help us win.

The biggest problem with the Pens right now is their injury situation. Missing Jordan Staal, Brooks Orpik, Zbynek Michalek, and Arron Asham is causing this team to struggle both defensively and offensively.

Think about it. If Staal and Asham are healthy, then Crosby plays with Kunitz and Comrie, two forwards good for 50 points a piece. Kunitz was hurt last year and it affected his scoring, much like Talbot. The second line would be Staal centering Tangradi and Malkin. That's a lot of humanity. It would be hard for teams to match up to that size. If Malkin returns to form (and the right half wall on the PP), his point total will pick back up, Staal would be good for 50 - 70 playing with Gene and Tangradi would chip in too. The third line would have Talbot centering Asham and Cooke. A really, really annoying and tenacious line that would also be a threat to score. Then having Letestu centering Rupp and Dupuis/Kennedy/Adams would give you another solid line to give the others a breather.

Getting Staal and Asham instantly evens out your forward lines, and we know what Michalek an Orpik bring to the defense and especially the PK. The best thing for this team is for it go get healthy. No trade will have the impact that a healthy roster will have.
