Flyers captain Mike Richards has never been known as being someone who is fond of dealing with media. He did little to combat that repuation after tonight's 5-1 home loss to the Penguins.

Not that he's the first person to do this, but Richards complained about Matt Cooke not wanting to fight, THEN:

-Suggested Sidney Crosby should fight Flyers forward Daniel Carcillo.

-Accused the Penguins of falling down "pretty easy" when asked about his spear to Ben Lovejoy's crotch.

-And finally, walked away from reporters telling them he had given them enough quotes.

So that's what leadership is?

After that blind side attempt on Cooke, he has the nerve to say that? This game was a classic example of the Flyers catching "The Stupid" and running with it. Just imagine if Carcillo had actually played in this game. It would have been at least 7-1.

In a 5-1 game (or even 4-1 before the EN) you really can't blame anyone but yourself, but Richards grasps at all the straws the Philly media is offering. It's the opposite of leadership. It's just pathetic.
