The Penguins demoted forward Dustin Jeffrey (right) to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL. He was recalled Thursday.
In three NHL games this season, Jeffrey has scored two points. He is the AHL Penguins' leading scorer this season with 32 points in 27 games.
In other news, Penguins forward Jordan Staal practiced with the team for the first time since breaking his hand Nov. 1. He was able to wear and glove and stickhandle but did not skate on a particular line.
