The Penguins have signed undrafted free agent forward Brian Gibbons (right) to a two-year entry-level contract.
As a senior at Boston College, Gibbons had 51 points (18 goals, 33 assists) in 39 games during the 2010-11 season.
An alternate captain at Boston College, Gibbons, 23, was named to the All-Hockey East conference's second team. He was a teammate of Penguins defensive prospect Philip Samuelsson the past two seasons.
Gibbons (5-foot-8, 165 pounds) attended the Penguins prospect development camp this past summer. He was a member of Boston College's national championships teams in 2008 and 2010.
