The NHL's hockey operations department will be busy today.
Penguins forward Chris Kunitz and Lightning forward will each have disciplinary hearings today for a pair of hits in the first period of Tuesday's Game 3 according to TSN's Bob McKenzie.
At approximately the 14:25 mark of the first period, Downie left his feet to hit Penguins defenseman Ben Lovejoy behind the Penguins' net. Downie would have been penalized on the play, but Penguins forward Maxime Talbot scored during a delayed penalty situation:
Later in the period, at the 9:11 mark, Kunitz hit Lightning forward Simon Gagne with an elbow to the head in the Penguins' slot. The play resulted in a two-minute minor. Here's a .gif of the hit:

EN Says: Both players should be suspended. But in this garage league, anything is possible.

. If what matters is the orientation of the body, Seabrook's legs and chest were aimed toward Torres, ergo clean hit. But if what matters is the head, then it was definitely lateral or blindside...
