-"He goes overlooked and unnoticed because of all the B.S. the media brings up about his past with the suspensions and stuff/ Sometimes, you overlook how great of a team guy he is. Just how skilled he is offensively. How he's willing to take a hit to make a play and go to the net." - Steven Stamkos on Downie.

-Jeff Jimerson will get the call for Game 7.
Capitals-The Capitals recalled goaltender Braden Holtby from Hershey of the AHL.
-“It’s my favorite of all the stats. I obviously don’t have the best numbers, points-wise. But that’s one little thing I can control. I decide how many pucks I want to throw my body in front of, whereas I can’t always decide that I want to stickhandle through everyone and score.” - Capitals defenseman Karl Alzner.
-The NHL did not take any action against Flyers captain Mike Richards for a hit from behind which injured Sabres forward Tim Connolly in Game 6:
-"I'm pretty upset. It's still upsetting. The guy who's complained the most about how we were getting away with murder has delivered two of the dirtiest hits in the series, a blatant elbow to the face (of Patrick Kaleta), which is something the league said they were going to try and take away, and driving Tim Connolly head-first into the boards. It wasn't just a hit it was a push. It was blatant." - Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller on the non suspension.
-"Which is the one with the bald head? Curly. That's the guy I like the most, so maybe I'll be Curly." - Flyers goaltender Brian Boucher (right) on him and fellow goaltenders Sergei Bobrovsky and Michael Leighton being called "The Three Stooges" by a Buffalo newspaper.

-There must be something about teams in black and gold and the power play. The Bruins are 0 for 15 in the playoffs.
-“I'm not sure how you explain that discrepancy, but we’re going to be very hard-pressed to win hockey games if, throughout an entire series when the score is tight, they get 75 per cent more power plays than we do.” - Canucks general manager Mike Gillis who went on a rant against officiating yesterday.
-Canucks coach Alain Vigneault declaired Roberto Luongo (right) as his starting goaltender for Game 7.
-Blackhawks forward Bryan Bickell will be sidelined six to eight weeks due following wrist surgery.
-Chicago captain Jonathan Toews has yet to score a goal this postseason.

-"I did find myself getting pretty bored.'' - Red Wings goaltender Jimmy Howard on his team's down time.
-"You can't underestimate that. We would have been happy winning the seventh game in overtime if that's what it took. Having said that, it is one less trip out to the West Coast, one less game, wear and tear, all the stuff that goes with the hard fought battle." - Predators general manager David Poile on not having to play a Game 7.
-Happy 34th birthday to current Penguins forward Craig Adams (right). Claimed off waivers from the Blackhawks late in the 2008-09 season, Adams has spent parts of three seasons with the Penguins. This past season, Adams, the only NHL player born in Brunei Darussalam, played in 80 games and recorded 15 points. He has played in six postseason games this spring and has one goal. In 171 regular season games with the Penguins he has recorded 26 points. In 43 postseason games, he has scored nine points.
-Happy 41st birthday to former Penguins defenseman Victor Ignatjev. Or was it simply a "hockey play"?
