Penguins

-"We won 58 games, but in the end you're looked at by, 'Did you win a championship with that?' We didn't do it. That's disappointing and probably what will be remembered." - Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins goaltender Brad Thiessen (above) on his team's season.

-Peter Delmas made 27 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 4-0 loss to the Kalamazoo Wings in Game 5 of their Eastern Conference final series. Kalamazoo leads the series, 3-2.

Playoff Stuff

Bruins - Lightning

-Lightning forward Simon Gagne (right), who has been sidelined since hitting his head off the ice in Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series with the Capitals, is expected to be in the lineup for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference final.

-The Lightning has allowed all of three goals on 35 power-play chances this postseason.

Canucks - Predators

-“I don’t know. I wasn’t counting.” - Canucks forward Ryan Kesler on how many stitches he needed to repair his face in Game 5 Saturday.

-Vancouver's Sedin brothers are each a minus-7 in the postseason.

Sharks - Red Wings

-A goal and an assist by Niklas Kronwall led the Red Wings to a 4-3 comeback win against the Sharks in Game 5. San Jose leads the series, 3-2. Pavel Datsyuk recorded three assists for Detroit while Jimmy Howard made 39 saves in the victory.

-Flames forward Mikael Backlund scored both of Sweden's goals in a 2-0 shutout of Switzerland.

-Canadiens forward Andrei Kostitsyn had two goals and an assist for Belarus which routed Slovenia, 7-1.

-Forward Kaspars Saulietis scored two goals and added an assist for Latvia in a 4-1 win against Austria.

Non-Playoff Stuff

Atlantic Division

-Flyers forward Andreas Nodl (right) missed the final nine games of the postseason due to a concussion.

-The Rangers acquired forward Oscar Lindberg from the Coyotes in exchange for forward Ethan Werek.

Northeast Division

-The emergence of rookie goaltender Jhonas Enroth probably means the end of former Penguins goaltender Patrick Lalime's career with the Sabres.
