-"We felt it was a battle for the puck. Boychuk tried to eliminate Raymond by pushing him toward the boards as the puck went by. Raymond was in a very awkward position with his body in an L position. Non-Playoff Stuff-Unrestricted free agent-to be goaltender Ilya Bryzgalov (right) will meet with Flyers officials Thursday.
-The Maple Leafs re-signed restricted free agent defenseman Carl Gunnarsson to a two-year contract worth a total of $3.65 million. He will have a salary cap hit of $1.325 million.
-Former Red Wings assistant coach Paul MacLean was officially introduced as the Senators' new head coach.
-After serving as the club's associated coach the past few seasons, former Penguins captain Ron Francis is happy to be back in the Hurricanes' front office as director of player personnel.
-The MTS Centre will need to undergo minor upgrades by the time the Thrashers franchise begins playing there next season.
-The Blue Jackets seem pretty content to let forward Scottie Upshall (right) hit free agency July 1 without a contract offer. Upshall had 22 goals and 34 points last season.
