The biggest question of the Penguins' offseason thus far has been if the Penguins can hang on to restricted free agent Tyler Kennedy (above). With injuries to some star players last season, Kennedy took on an elevated role with the team and responded with an impressive 21 goals.
As a result, his value as a restricted free agent is bound to take a considerable jump from the $725,000 salary cap hit he had last season.
So what is Kennedy worth? A look at his peers - statistically speaking at least - might provide that answer.
