The Penguins have re-signed restricted free agent goaltender Brad Thiessen to a one-year two-way contract.
Thiessen, 25, appeared in 46 games last season for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins and had a 35-8-1 record with 2.94 goals-against average, a .922 save percentage and seven shutouts. His win and shutout totals led the AHL last season and helped him earn the Aldege “Baz” Bastien Memorial Award as the league's top goaltender
Thiessen originally came to the organization as a free agent in April of 2009.
Note: The team's prospect development camp will be held next week beginning Monday.
