-The Coyotes signed forward Martin Hanzal (right) to a five-year contract extension worth a total of $15.5 million. He will have a salary cap hit of $3.1 million.
-Kings forward Dustin Penner is dealing with a "lower-body" injury.
-The Stars placed defenseman Adam Pardy (ribs) on injured reserve.
-Dallas signed defenseman Jamie Oleksiak, a first-round pick in this summer's draft, to a three-year entry-level contract.
