The Oilers will start Devan Dubnyk (right) in goal tonight in their season opener against the Penguins.
Dubnyk, 25, appeared in 35 games last season and had a 12-13-8 record with a 2.71 goals against average, .916 save percentage and two shutouts.
He has played two games against the Penguins in his career and has a record of 0-2-0 against them with a 4.03 goals against average and .874 save percentage.
The Penguins did not hold a morning skate. Dan Byslma is expected to hold a media briefing approximately two hours prior to the game. Presumably, he'll provide some sort of update on the health of Evgeni Malkin.
Goaltender Brent Johnson is expected to make his first start of the season . In 2010-11, Johnson was 13-5-3 with a 2.17 goals against average and .922 save percentage and one shutout. In seven career games against the Oilers, Johnson has a 2-3-1 record with a 2.72 goals against average and .894 save percentage.

That doesn't sound too encouraging. A briefing for an injury update... Hopefully, Malkin will be back before too long
