-The Devils demoted goaltender Keith Kincaid to Albany of the AHL.
-After having his season cut short due to head and neck injuries, Canadiens forward Max Pacioretty is sporting a new helmet this season.
Southeast Division-Capitals goaltender Tomas Vokoun (right) is already getting a heavy workload in Washington having faced an average of 34 shots per game this season.
-Blue Jackets forward Jeff Carter is dealing with a hairline fracture in his right foot.
-Oilers forward Ales Hemsky will be sidelined two to three weeks due to his wonky shoulder.
-Even after getting first career hat trick in his third game, Oilers forward Ryan Nugent-Hopkins doesn't feel he's guaranteed a roster spot with Edmonton.

-Having fully recovered from a cyst on his knee, Sharks goaltender Antti Niemi (right) is expected to get his first start of the season tonight against the Ducks.
-Brooks Ostergard made 31 saves for the Robert Morris men's team in a 4-2 loss ot Air Force.
-Hillary Pattenden made 30 saves for the Mercyhurst women's team in a 3-0 shutout of Providence.
