If you watch the highlight clip from the game on the TSN site, you can see Letang's hit right after the highlight of him swatting the puck away from the net (2nd period).

Definitely a dangerous hit, though I'd be hard pressed to call it 'dirty'. Hard to say what'll come of it. Burmistrov did turn into it a bit and had possession, so I'm not sure what Letang was supposed to do there because he can't just let Burmistrov go -- maybe the better choice is to take a holding/hooking penalty, but things are so fast and physical I doubt there are many players that would make that choice. IMO boarding was the right call and I think the call and no suspension/fine should stand.

*t was definitely boarding, but to say it was a suspendable hit is a joke. Haven't heard the ruling yet, but with Strait being called up, it sounds like a foregone conclusion that he'll be out at least a game.

From the way I saw it, Letang was already committed to the hit when Burmistrov turned his back to him. It was too late for Letang to back off. I understand it was dirty but don't the players being hit have to take some accountability. I'm not saying it's 100% Burmistrov's fault but guys end up putting themselves in vulnerable positions. If Burmistrov doesn't turn, that is most likely a clean body check and nothing comes of it. Unfortunately, my opinion doesn't matter on the issue.

Also, on a slightly related note; my emotions with the Winnipeg fan base have rapidly swung from happy for them getting a team back to, my god they are as annoying as Washington and Montreal fans...
