The Penguins, hockey and more, by the PG's Seth Rorabaugh. |

This almost passes as good news these days for the Penguins with regards to injuries.
Evgeni Malkin will be a game-time decision for tonight's road game against the Islanders at 7 p.m. Due to his ailing right knee, he has not played since recording two assists against the Capitals in a 3-2 overtime loss, Oct. 13. In three games this season, Malkin has four points (one goal, three assists).
The Penguins' primary lines and defensive pairings in today's morning skate (PG+):
Steve Sullivan - Evgeni Malkin - James Neal
Chris Kunitz - Jordan Staal - Pascal Dupuis
Dustin Jeffrey - Mark Letestu - Craig Adams
Matt Cooke - Richard Park - Arron Asham
Paul Martin - Kris Letang
Matt Niskanen - Ben Lovejoy
Brooks Orpik - Deryk Engelland
For the Islanders, they will start Evgeni Nabokov in net. In two games this season, Nabokov is 1-1-0 with a 2.53 goals against average and .921 save percentage.
In nine career starts against the Penguins, Nabokov has been dominant with an 8-1-0 record, a 1.62 goals against average, a .939 save percentage and two shutouts.
Rick DiPietro will dress for the first time since suffering a concussion in practice 13 days ago.
Islanders forward Trevor Gillies, the enforcer who was a central figure in the Feb. 11 brawl last season, is not exected to dress.
