The Penguins, hockey and more, by the PG's Seth Rorabaugh. |

A popular misconception of Chris Kunitz is that any production he has enjoyed with the Penguins is merely a by-product of him being on a line with Sidney Crosby.
Since Crosby has left the lineup, Kunitz has played in 39 regular season games. Compared to the previous 39 games he played with Crosby, Kunitz's production has been nearly identical:
| No Crosby |
With Crosby |
|
| 39 | Games | 39 |
| 13 | Goals | 13 |
| 13 | Assists | 15 |
| 26 | Points | 28 |
| 0.67 | Points Per Game | 0.71 |

I think a good indication would be how many goals do they average with him and without him in the lineup.
Because even when he is not getting point there are other lines getting better matchups to get goals.
