Slowly but surely they are taking hitting out of the game. The players won't need a girdle any more they can wear a dress.

Will he be allowed to play in the WJC (for Germany)? Twenty games takes him to January 6, not long after the WJC are over, and the guy he hit is supposed to be a lock for the Canadian team.

If I remember correctly, the knock on Kuhnhackel was he wasn't physical enough, the coaches wanted him to put on some muscle and bring some grit and jam to his game. He's just prolly tryin to do what the coaching staff asked him to do and took it to far. The hittee is short anyway and tried to duck under the hit but it looked like Tom coulda checked the guy without blowin him up. That said, 3 years ago we wouldn't even be havin this odebate. I'm in favor of cleaning up the headhunting, a concussion could screw up your brain for life, but to me the equipment has to change from the flak jacket kevlar body armor to something that better protects the hitter and the hittee. After watching it again several times, 20 games seems excessive for a guy with no prior history. One thing u can always count on, The hockey wheel of justice is never consistent
