If you can imagine this, a Penguins center might not play tonight. Two in fact.

Evgeni Malkin and Jordan Staal are labeled as "game-time" decisison by Dan Bylsma. Staal practiced today despite a "lower-body" injury. Malkin did not practice due to undisclosed reasons.

Earlier this morning, the team recalled forward Jason Williams (above) from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL. He made his Penguins debut Saturday against the Islanders. In 11:28 of ice time, Williams, 31, had no points and two penalty minutes.

The teams lines at today's morning skate were:

Chris Kunitz - Jordan Staal - James Neal
Matt Cooke - Pascal Dupuis - Tyler Kennedy
Steve Sullivan - Joe Vitale - Arron Asham
Jason Williams - Craig Adams - Steve MacIntyre

For Christmas this year, I would like Peace on Earth, a healthy Penguins roster, and for your sled team to leave a lot of "presents" in the Flyers' executive parking lot.

The Penguins' injury situation is beyond mind-blowing. I wrote the same thing last season, but now it's the same feeling, except it never ends.

Are any other Pens fans as annoyed as I am by the desciption of almost every injury as "an undisclosed injury or illness". Do they really think that they are gaining some sort of an advantage over the other teams by not disclosing their players injuries.
I just hope that Sid recovers from his undisclosed upper body injury soon
