A day after recalling him from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL, the Penguins demoted defenseman Brian Strait back to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton.
Strait was recalled yesterday as insurance with Deryk Engelland suspended and Zbynek Michalek questionable due to a concussion. With Michalek available, Strait did not play.
Strait, 23, has appeared in one NHL game this season and has no points.
