Northeast Division

-Mike Cammalleri, Erik Cole, Louis Leblanc, Tomas Plekanec and PK Subban each had a goal and an assist for the Canadiens in a 6-2 rout of the rival Senators. Raphael Diaz added three assists for Montreal while teammate Mathieu Darche recorded three assists. Carey Price made 33 saves in the victory which was the Canadiens' first under new coach Randy Cunneyworth.

-Senators forward Milan Michalek returned to the lineup after missing five games due to a concussion.

Southeast Division

-Two goals by Steven Stamkos led the Lightning to a 5-1 win against the Flyers. Steve Downie added a goal and an assist for Tampa Bay while teammate Martin St. Louis recorded two assists. Former Penguin Mathieu Garon made 31 saves in the victory. Fire Ray Shero.

-Lightning defensemen Eric Brewer and Victor Hedman each left the game due to "upper-body" injuries.

-Brewer appeared to be injured after this fight with Philadelphia's Wayne Simmonds. Also, Philadelphia's Scott Hartnell appeared to get into a stick-swinging incident with the Lightning bench:

-“I was there at the TV timeout, on the left wing, and I was right in front of the bench. Their coach [Guy Boucher] looked up and started yapping at me. I was just sitting there, not doing anything. Then, two guys started slashing me from the bench. I just kind of pushed their sticks out of the way. I ended up getting 10 minutes for really nothing. I've never seen a coach start yelling at an opposing player from the bench for just standing there.” - Hartnell.

Central Division

- A goal and an assist by Pavel Datsyuk led the Red Wings past the Blues, 3-2. Ian White recorded two assists for Detroit while Jimmy Howard made 29 saves in the victory. Jason Arnott and Kevin Shattenkirk had two assists for St. Louis.

-Goal of the Night: Datsyuk with a nifty re-direction of a shot by White:

-Blues defenseman Kris Russell left the game in the first period due to a "lower-body" injury.

-The Red Wings recalled forward Joakim Andersson from Grand Rapids of the AHL.

-Predators captain Shea Weber is dealing with a concussion.

-The Predators recalled forward Gabriel Bourque from Milwaukee of the AHL.

Northwest Division

-A shootout goal by captain Jarome Iginla gave the Hurricanes a 2-1 win against the Blue Jackets. Miikka Kiprusoff made 27 saves in the victory.

-Happy times for Kiprusoff and teammate Olli Jokinen:

-Columbus' R.J. Umberger > Iginla:

-Canucks forward Chris Higgins is dealing with a infection.

-With defenseman Jared Spurgeon dealing with a "lower-body" injury, the Wild recalled forward Jon DiSalvatore and defenseman Nate Prosser from Houston of the AHL.

Pacific Division

-Kings forward Simon Gagne is sidelined due to an "upper-body" injury.

-The Stars are expected to place goaltender Andrew Raycroft (right) on waivers.

-The Coyotes recalled forward Andy Miele from Portland of the AHL.

-After starting the season with their top two goaltenders sidelined due to injury, the Sharks now have three healthy netminders in Thomas Greiss, Antti Niemi and Antero Niittymaki.

IIHF World Junior Championships

-Red Wings prospect Petr Mrazek made 12 saves for the Czech Republic in a 7-0 shutout of Denmark.

-Detroit prospect Tomas Jurco scored a goal for Slovakia which beat Latvia, 3-1.

Norris Division

-Former Flyers/Rangers/Maple Leafs/Stars forward Eric Lindros says the speed of today's NHL is to blame for the increased injuries.
