James Neal and Evgeni Malkin are currently No. 1 and 2 in the NHL in shots on goal.
Should they maintain their respective paces, they would be the first pair of teammates to lead the NHL in shots in nearly 20 years.
Since the league began to keep shots on goal as an official statistic in 1967-68, this feat has only been accomplished six times.
