Another day. Another injury.
Penguins forward Jordan Staal will not play tonight as a result of a knee injury (PG+) he suffered in a collision last night with Rangers forward Mike Rupp.
Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said the severity of Staal's injury has not been determined.
Also, the team demoted defenseman Robert Bortuzzo to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL after he was activated from injured reserve due. He had been sidelined since Dec. 8 due to a concussion.
In six NHL games this season, Bortuzzo had no points and was a plus-1.
