-Geoff Walker scored two goals for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in a 4-3 loss to the Syracuse Crunch. Alex Grant and Paul Thompson each recorded two assists for the Penguins while teammate Brad Thiessen made 25 saves.
-Peter Delmas made 23 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 3-1 loss to South Carolina Stingrays.
-A hat trick, including a goal in overtime, by Daniel Briere gave the Flyers a 3-2 win against the Senators. Jakub Voracek recorded two assists for Philadelphia while teammate Ilya Bryzgalov made 35 saves. Erik Karlsson recorded two assists for Ottawa.

-Max Pacioretty had goal and an assist for the Canadiens in a 3-1 win against the Lightning. Carey Price made 23 saves in the victory.

-The Sabres demoted forward Zack Kassian and defenseman TJ Brennan to Rochester of the AHL.
-Johnny Oduya's overtime goal gave the Jets a 2-1 win against the Sabres. Ondrej Pavelec made 31 saves in the victory.

-Two goals from Patric Hornqvist led the Predators to a 5-2 win against the Hurricanes. Ryan Ellis added a goal and an assist for Nashville while teammate Mike Fisher recorded three assists. Pekka Rinne made 27 saves in the victory. Jay Harrison scored both of Carolina's goal.
-Curtis Sanford made 31 saves for the Blue Jackets in a 1-0 shutout of the Kings. It was Sanford's sixth career shutout. Los Angeles lost for the first time in regulation under head coach Darryl Sutter.

-Brian Elliott made all of 15 saves for the Blues in a 4-0 shutout of the Avalanche. It was Elliott's fifth shutout of the season and 14th of his career. Kevin Shattenkirk had a goal and an assist for Colorado while teammates Alex Pietrangelo, T.J. Oshie and Vladimir Sobotka each recorded two assists.
-No wonder Elliott was able to get a shutout:

-The Blues demoted defenseman Cade Fairchild to Peoria of the AHL.
-The Blackhawks activated defenseman Steve Montador ("upper-body") from injured reserve and demoted defenseman Dylan Olsen to Rockford of the AHL.
-In a rematch of the Stanley Cup Final, Cody Hodgson had a goal and an assist for the Canucks who beat the Bruins, 4-3. Kevin Bieksa recorded two assists for Vancouver while teammate Corey Schneider made 36 saves.

-A line brawl broke out in the first four minutes of the game:

-Canucks defenseman Sami Salo suffered a potential concussion when he was hit low by Bruins forward Brad Marchand and dropped on his head:

The Marchand hit was a pretty stupid thing and I’m sure he’ll be getting a phone call for that one. There is no reason for that." - Canucks defenseman Kevin Bieksa on the hit.

-Canucks forward Andrew Ebbett left the game in the first period due to a broken collarbone.
-Captain Jarome Iginla's 500th career goal led the Flames to a 3-1 win against the Wild. Curtis Glencross had a goal and an assist for Minnesota while teammate Miikka Kiprusoff made 27 saves in the victory.

-Avalanche defenseman Erik Johnson left last night's game against the Blues due to a hand injury in the first period.

-A hat trick by captain Shane Doan led the Coyotes to a 5-1 win against the Islanders. Oliver Ekman-Larsson added a goal and an assist for Phoenix while teammate Mike Smith made 31 saves.

-Patrick Marleau had a goal and two assists for the Sharks in a 5-2 defeat of the Capitals. Torrey Mitchell added a goal and an assist for San Jose while teammate Dan Boyle recorded three assists. Antti Niemi made 28 saves in the victory. Dennis Wideman led Washington with a goal and an assist.
