We as fans will need to be very patient and supportive of this current team. In this salary cap league, you can only go so deep with really good players - that is the way it is designed like it or lump it. (BTW: the salary cap has really helped the Pens in the last 10 years).
Need to bring up the best guys we have and maybe make some tough decisions on some veteran salaries that we can ask to not be counted toward the cap (a huge ask) and go get some replacements here, Europe and Russia (not easy to do but just thinking outside the box). What else can you do? Also need a long term change or update on the strength and conditioning side of things to keep these guys healthy. This killed the Steelers and was the single biggest issue for them this year. This right now is the single biggest issue for the Pens.
LETS GO PENS!!
