The Penguins, hockey and more, by the PG's Seth Rorabaugh. |

Penguins forward James Neal was added to the NHL's All-Star Game roster. He will replace suspended Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin who is skipping the game.
Neal, 24, has appeared in 49 games this season and has scored 47 points (27 goals, 20 assists). He has the second-most goals in the NHL this season. This is first career all-star game selection.
Neal joins fellow Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin and Kris Letang in the game which will be played Sunday in Ottawa.
EN Says: We refuse to get too huffy over the meaningless fluff that is the All-Star Lame Game, but the fact it took several players to bow out of the game in order for Neal to get selected was ridiculous.

Given that it does appear to mean something to him as a player I think it's good that he's going and I agree that someone who has been Top 5 in the league in goals more or less all season should have been in the initially-named group.
