-Malkin speaks:
-An overtime goal and an assist by Jason Williams gave the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins a 3-2 win gainst the Connecticut Whale. Eric Tangradi recorded two assists for the Penguins while teammate Brad Thiessen made 20 saves.
-Peter Delmas made 15 saves for the Wheeling Nailers in a 4-2 loss to the Reading Royals.
-Happy 58th birthday to former Penguins defenseman Colin Campbell (right). A second-round pick in 1973, Campbell spent parts of four seasons with the Penguins. After spending 1973-74 with the Vancouver Blazers of the WHA, Campbell made his NHL debut in 1974-75 with the Penguins. He played in 59 games and scored 19 points. During that spring's postseason, he appeared in nine games and recorded four points. He followed that up in 1975-76 by seeing action in 64 games and netting 17 points. In the 1976 postseaseon, he played in three games and failed to record a point. During the 1976 postseason, he was transfered to the Colorado Rockies as compensation for the Penguins signing Denis Herron. He returned to the Penguins in the 1977 offseason. The 1977-78 season saw him appear in 55 games and net 10 points. His final season in Pittsburgh was 1978-79. He played in 65 games and set a career-high with 20 points. During that spring's postseason, he appeared in seven games and recorded five points. In the 1979 offseason, he was claimed by the Oilers in an expansion draft. In 243 regular season games for the Penguins, Campbell scored 66 points. In 19 postseason games, he scored nine points. Campbell is currently an executive with the NHL.

-Capitals defenseman Dennis Wideman has made an impressive comeback 10 months after suffering a career-threatening leg injury.
-The Blackhawks acquired forward Brendan Morrison (right) from the Flames in exchange for minor league defenseman Brian Connelly. In 28 games this season, Morrisson has 11 points.
-The 2013 All-Star game will be held in Columbus.
-EN Says: Plenty of folks will laugh at Columbus holding this event, but if you have never been to a Blue Jackets game, you will be surprised at how Nationwide Arena is set up. It is easily accessible from the highway, has ample parking, accomodations/dining/nightlife and is a fantastic value. The Blue Jackets might not be a success on the ice, but the Arena District in Columbus is marvelous.
-Television ratings for this season's all-star draft took a dip in the United States and Canada.
-Eric Levine made 39 saves for the Robert Morris men's team in a 2-1 loss to Niagara.
-Max Strang made 22 saves for the Mercyhurs men's team which lost to RIT, 4-1.
-Kristen DiCiocco made 16 saves for the Robert Morris women's team which was shutout by Niagara, 1-0.
