-Devils forward Eric Boulton was fined $2,500 for a slash against Rangers forward and former Penguin Mike Rupp Tuesday.
-Rupp suffered a broken left thumb on the play.
-The Flyers demoted forward forward Ben Holmstrom to Adirondack of the AHL.
-The Islanders demoted goaltender Kevin Poulin to Bridgeport of the AHL.
-The Canadiens recalled forward Louis Leblanc from Hamilton of the AHL. Montreal also demoted forward Andreas Engqvist to Hamilton.
-The Sabres recalled forward Zack Kassian from Rochester of the AHL.
-Former Penguin Mikael Samuelsson scored two goals and led the Panthers to a 4-2 win against the Capitals. Fire Craig Patrick. Former Capitals forward Tomas Fleischmann recorded two assists for Florida while teammate Scott Clemmensen made 26 saves in the victory.

-With goaltender Jose Theodore still dealing with a wonky knee, the Panthers recalled goaltender Brian Foster from San Antonio of the AHL. Additionally, Panthers forward Scottie Upshall will be sidelined four to six weeks following sports hernia surgery.
-Former Penguin Mathieu Garon has emerged as the Lightning's No. 1 goaltender. Fire Ray Shero.
-Capitals defenseman Mike Green resumed skating for the first time since undergoing sports hernia surgery Jan. 17.
-The Hurricanes recalled forward Drayson Bowman from Charlotte of the AHL.
-Blue Jackets forward Jared Boll was fined $2,500 for hitting Sharks captain Joe Thornton in the head Tuesday.
-The Flames recalled former Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins forward Krys Kolanos from Abbotsford of the AHL. Calgary also demoted goaltender Leland Irving to Abbotsford.
-Drew Doughty scored a controversial goal with 0.4 seconds left in regulation and gave the Kings a 3-2 win against the Blue Jackets. Doughty added an assist while teammate Jonathan Quick made 20 saves in the victory.
-Video replays showed the clock stopping with 1.8 remaining prior to the goal by Doughty.

-Jamie Benn and Michael Ryder each had a goal and two assists for the Stars in a 6-2 rout of the Ducks. Former Penguin Alex Goligoski and Steve Ott each recorded two assists for Dallas while teammate Kari Lehtonen made 33 saves in the victory. Fire Ray Shero.
-Hit of the Night: Dallas' Mark Fistric smacking Anaheim's Bobby Ryan into the boards:
-The Ducks recalled forward Kyle Palmieri from Syracuse of the AHL.
-With goaltender Antti Niemi dealing with an undisclosed injury, the Sharks recalled goaltender Tyson Sexsmith from Worcester of the AHL. Additionally, San Jose placed defenseman Jason Demers ("lower-body") on injured reserve.
-Brewers outfielder and former Penguin Nyjer Morgan got in a little practice time with his hometown Sharks:
