-A goal and an assist by Jason Williams led the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins to a 4-3 win against the rival Hershey Bears. Brad Thiessen made 23 saves in the victory.
-The Penguins rallied from a 3-0 deficit in the third period to win.

-Shootout goals by Zack Torquato and Andrew Hotham gave the Wheeling Nailers a 4-3 win against the Elmira Jackals. Nick Petersen had a regulation goal and an assist for Wheeling while teammate Paul Crowder recorded two assists. Patrick Killeen made 34 saves in the victory.
-Happy 26th birthday to former Penguins forward Mark Letestu. A free agent signing late in the 2006-07 season, Letestu spent parts of three seasons with the Penguins. As a rookie in 2009-10, he appeared in 10 games and scored one goal. He saw action in four playoff games in 2010 and recorded on assist. Last season, Letestu set career highs in games (64), goals (14), assists (13) and points (27). In seven postseason games last spring, he recorded one assist. After 11 games and one assist this season, Letestu was traded to the Blue Jackets for a draft pick. In 85 regular season games with the Penguins, Letestu scored 29 points. In 11 postseason games, he recorded two assists.
-An overtime goal by former Penguin Mark Eaton gave the Islanders a 2-1 win against the Senators. PA Parenteau recorded two assists for New York while teammate Evgeni Nabokov made 23 saves.

-The Rangers traded former Penguins forward Erik Christensen and a seventh-round pick in 2013 to the Wild in exchange for forward Casey Wellman.
-Devils forward Patrik Elias was fined $2,500 for boarding on Canadiens forward Mike Blunden Thursday. The hit in question:
-With back-to-back games this weekend, the Devils will play backup goaltender Johan Hedberg Saturday against the Flyers and starter Martin Brodeur against the Penguins Sunday.
-Devils forward Ryan Carter (hand) and defenseman Adam Larsson (back) will miss today's game.
-The Devils placed forward Adam Henrique (right) on injured reserve due to a groin ailment and recalled defenseman Peter Harrold from Albany of the AHL.

-With forward Christopher Higgins dealing with an undisclosed ailment, the Canucks recalled forward Byron Bitz from Chicago of the AHL.
-Stars captain Brenden Morrow (right) was placed on injured reserve due to an "upper-body" injury and recalled forward Tomas Vincour from Texas of the AHL.
-The Ducks demoted forwards Kyle Palmieri and center Mark Bell to Syracuse of the AHL.
-Two goals by Nick Chiavetta led the Robert Morris men's team to a 6-4 win against Canisius. It was the 100th win in program history.
-Max Strang made 37 saves for the Mercyhurst men's team which was beat by Niagara, 6-1.
-Kristen DiCiocco made 13 saves for the Robert Morris women's team in a 4-3 win against Syracuse.
-Two goals by Bram Bailey led the Mercyhurst women's team to a 6-1 rout of Niagara.
