In 1999-2000, Morozov saw action in 68 games and netted 31 points. He was limited to five postseason games that spring and failed to record a point. During 2000-01, he played in 66 games and scored 19 points. In 18 postseason games that season, he scored six points. Morozov was limited to 27 games and 25 points in 2001-02. His finest NHL season was his last. In 2002-03, Morozov played in 75 games and scored a career-best 50 points. During the 2003 offseason, he joined Ak Bars Kazan of the Russian Super League. He is currently the captain of Ak Bars Kazan. In 451 games with the Penguins, Morozov scored 219 points, 34th-most in franchise history. In 39 postseason games, he scored nine points.
-Happy 69th birthday to former Penguins forward George Swarbrick. Acquired midway through the 1968-69 season along with Bryan Watson and Tracy Pratt in a trade that sent Earl Ingarfield, Gene Ubriaco and Dick Mattiussi to the Oakland Seals, Swarbrick spent parts of two seasons in Pittsburgh. He finished 1968-69 by playing in 19 games and scoring seven points for the Penguins. In 1969-70, he saw action in 12 game and recorded one assist. After spending all of 1994-95 with the Penguins' IHL affiliate in Cleveland, Karabin joined the Sabres as a free agent in the 1995 offseason.
Happy 59th birthday to former Penguins forward Andre St. Laurent (right). Claimed off waivers midway through the 1981-82 season from the Kings, St. Laurent spent parts of three seasons with the Penguins. He finished 1981-82 by playing in 18 games for the Penguins and scoring 13 points. During that postseason, St. Laurent, the first player in franchise history to wear No. 34, scored three points in five games. His only full season in Pittsburgh was 1982-83. He played in 70 games and scored 22 points. After eight games and two assists in 1983-84, St. Laurent was dealt to the Red Wings in exchange for future considerations. -Ugly Goal of the Night: Cole scored after this brutal turnover by Boston captain Zdeno Chara:
-Bruins forward Brad Marchand was up to his old tricks again as he clipped Montreal defenseman Alexei Emelin at the end of the second period:
-EN Says: Marchand was suspended five games last month for a clip on Vancouver defenseman Sami Salo. That clearly didn't work. The NHL should try six games for this hit.

-“I can’t control what the fans are going to do, but I’m disappointed, I guess." - Chara, who received stitches but returned to the game.
-“I don’t think that was right. You never want to see anyone hurt.” - Pacioretty on Chara's injury. Pacioretty suffered a broken neck last season when Chara ran him into a stanchion on the bench.
-EN Says: That was a pretty classless, disgusting display by Montreal fans, but every fan base would do that to a rival, especially one with a history against the Canadiens like Chara. But that's not in any way shape or form an excuse.
-Bruins forward Rich Peverly left the game in the third period due to a knee-on-knee hit by Canadiens defenseman and former Penguin Hal Gill.
-The hit in question:
-Captain Daniel Alfredsson, Kaspars Daugavins and Milan Michalek each had a goal and an assist for the Senators who routed the Panthers, 6-2. Jason Spezza recorded three assists for Ottawa while teammate Brian Lee collected two assists. Craig Anderson made 42 saves in the victory.

He just has to get back to being the way he was in his younger days and maybe not get wrapped up too much in the rock-star status that comes with being Alex Ovechkin.” - Capitals associate goaltending coach and former goaltender Olaf Kolzig on the struggles of his team's captain.
-The Hurricanes recalled forward Jerome Samson from Charlotte of the AHL.
