The Big 12 will not release the 2012 football schedule today said Bob Burda, the league spokesman this morning.

Unclear what the specific issues are for not releasing it today.

It's possible the league is waiting until the ink is dry on an official settlement between West Virginia and the Big East, but a myriad of factors could also be part of the delay.

As for this morning's story about a settlement between WVU and the Big East, sources stressed the numbers were still very fluid in terms of the breakdown of who pays what, but it is very clear it could climb to as much as $20 million when all is said and done.

I think many people around the program - certainly the fans - think it seems like a fairly reasonable number particularly if it turns out that the Big 12 is kicking in a portion of it.

Crazy numbers and crazier times! I wish the BE would have worked. It really seems strange playing Texas , OU and OSU year in and year out.

I'm a Longhorn fan, but from what I saw in your game against Clemson, y'all shouldn't be too concerned. It will tougher than the BE, but nothing WVU can't handle. Welcome.
