Joe D why do feel that Mortland would have lied about the way those athletes were treated, makes no sense. Maybe the 6 kids were not arguing about playing time. Maybe it was an AH coach who didn't care about his injured players.

Probably at kids that Mortland is the personal trainer for at his facility. That is a question I have... if these "kids" went to Mortland's facility for personal training.
Why would Mortland exaggerate... I can think of many reasons!!!
Obviously 2 investigations found nothing!!

Mt. Lebo job....hmmmm..thats going to be interesting....what a great district...expensive to live there but great place...I played on their field back in the mid 80s when I was in grade school...First school I knew of to ever have astroturf....way ahead of their time....going to be interesting...

Highly doubt Palko would leave WA..he is WA..built that place nearly from the ground up...and is a made man out there...

The issue with the trainer only one issue with the Peters Twp football program.

Some not too happy with the high school program over the last x number of years - especially when the youth and lower school programs were (more) successful.

Peters Twp district appears to have a fairly large number of good athletes.

Why is Piccinni looking to fill 4-5 asst coach positions? Why are these guys leaving or being asked to leave? is it a philosophical difference where these asst coaches told the head coach that they disagreed with his tactics toward injured players and he cleaned house?

Its all about politics in that district. Does it surprise anyone that the faction of 6 school bd members that voted to retain Piccinni is led by the spouse of former Steeler Rich Erenberg whose son was a nice ballplayer for the district? I dont hear anyone bringing that up...

I believe the Peters Twp coach just finished his first or second season at Peters Twp - possible he is searching for some 'new' assistant coaches ?

Happy for the Capers kid. He has been thru quite a bit. However, it will not get any easier from here. The Pac 12 is no joke and he's going to have to become much more durable and physical if he's going to make a run at things out there.

The 4th playoff spot in AAAA section 3 will be decided tomorrow night at PCC. PCC clinches at least a tie for the #4 spot with a win. Butler wins and they clinch the #4 seed. If SV or NA loses their last 2, Butler could still make the playoffs with a win over SV in their final game, depending on tiebreakers. Actually if Butler ties with NA, Butler goes because they swept NA. For that to happen, NA would need to lose at SV and home vs. NHills. If SV loses to NA and Butler, both Butler and SV would go regardless of what Butler does against PCC. PCC won the earlier meeting with Butler at Butler 78-49.

Central a good team - would be unfortunate if they miss playoffs

Butler - not as impressive - 2 wins against NA and little else


Central could make some noise in playoffs (depending on seed/bracket) - capable of knocking off any team

Basketball is all about matchups. Seeds mean little when it comes to matchups. If PCC makes the playoffs, they will be a tough out. I also see SV and Plum as possible lower seeds who nobody will want to play.

pittfan67 - Lincoln Davis pumped in 33 and Nate Snodgrass pumped in 42 against NA. If PCC beats Butler, they will be a tough opponent in the playoffs. Butler is a different team now. I saw SV several times. I would not want to play them either.

Davis had 33 - and I thought NA did a fairly good job defending him

a few of his baskets were head shakers - including one drive to the hoop when he somehow split a good double (two side-by-side defenders)

out of everyone this year for PITT...My vote for most right on recruit ranking is Bisonwaty...kids a beast and rightfully will go as far as he wants...

PCC will be tough indeed. If they finish 4th with a 6-6 conference record, they will be seeded anywhere from 11th to 13th...I am sure that a 4, 5, or 6 like Gateway, Lebo, or Hempfield won't be happy to be paired with PCC in the opening round...

I'd rather pick the player who is more committed and putting the work in to get better. I like where it said, the big guy in HS that dominated due to size will not in D1 due to overweight or not strong.
That is Rushel Shell... he is 225 that bulldozes DB's at 175... always running off tackle. Hope he starts putting the work in and not become a Marques Dupree.
It's all about how you market yourself.... and yes... what HS you went to!!! Some HS know how to develop football players while others don't. Why was the kid wearing glasses... c'mon man!!

If your kid has any shot at athletic scholarship, and you should know after 9th grade... start putting the work in.

Voytik of Pitt father did just that. Every since 9th grade, the kid was putting in the work to get stronger, faster, and better. Going to camps, combines, etc since 10th grade. Just hope he doesn't turn into an Marinovich at USC 25 yrs ago.
Your not going to get better in football staying at home playing temple run (is that the game kids are playing these days) and eating bon bons.
